About Brett

I created the concept and formula for “getting buy-in” after realizing that without it, nothing else matters.  When there is no action produced, not much else matters, especially in the goal-oriented world of business.  Even when it comes to our personal life, producing action is still the main thing that matters and learning how to get buy-in is essential to our success.

When consulting and coaching, I lead with how to “get buy-in” because I see that without this competence, you stop yourself from successfully leading your life and leading people.  The attitude, process, and skills needed to get buy-in, when practiced well, transform how you show up and the possible results you can get.  Applying the Get Buy-In Formula™ leads to great performance and great leadership.

I work with people and organizations through consulting, coaching, facilitation, seminars and workshops. I also speak and present at events and conferences.  I conduct online and local public seminars on “Getting Buy-In: How to Effectively Communicate.”

I also facilitate strategic planning off-sites, consult and coach how to build organizational culture & team effectiveness, increase sales performance, and conduct in-house and public courses in leadership development called Empowering Leadership™.

I’ve been a Ph.D. Student in Human and Organizational Development at the Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, California completing the course work with the dissertation remaining. I have a Masters in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelors in Social and Behavioral Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University.

I am a co-author of the book, Leadership: Helping Others to Succeed.  

 

I am working on my next book.  It is about getting buy-in as the essential skill for leading your own life and for leading people.  The preliminary title is, Get Buy-In: The Only Thing That Matters.
